Hello there!
Happy Spring! Spring days are here, and I’m smitten. How are you doing? For my readers in geographical regions that have spring – What are your plans for the season?
This blog is a bit vloggy, so let’s go with it.
I love the change of season, especially as we gradually come out of winter. The freshness of March reflects vitality and rebirth. It is not a coincidence that we celebrate easter in spring, how wonderful are God’s thoughts towards us. Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, it is even more fitting that we celebrate that in spring season.  Â
I have a poem I’d like to share, it is unfinished, but I’d love to share in this blog. I trust Jesus to help me finish it sometime soon.

Words of encouragement: What seems to take too long to sprout is only taking time to be rooted strongly and better tended for a glorious emergence. God is the gardener of our lives; He knows how best our garden should look. Â
This April, I believe there is a lot to learn from this scripture in John 15, may God help me.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. John 15: 1-2 (NIV).
My spring days look like this:
1. Books I’m reading: Foundations 01 by Cageless birds. I have been looking forward to this for weeks. The book doubles as a quiet time/devotional guide at the moment, it has prompts to respond to, I’m trusting God to bless me immensely by the time I finish.  Smart Money Smart Kids by Dave Ramsey and his daughter, Rachel Cruze. It is a parenting book on how to teach our kids to be financially responsible, I am actively learning first. The second book is Your One-year-old (12 to 24 months) by Louise Bates Ames.

2. I started spring cleaning and redecorating our home. I enjoy rearranging things and sprucing up my space.

3. I have been decluttering lately, to the amusement of my husband. He could not resist saying “I told you so” to some things I bought and now, don’t need anymore – to be honest I don’t even see the point why I bought some of them (buyer’s regret). Although, some purchases were very necessary at the season. I have a donate pile and a thrash pile and keep pile as I declutter.
4. I am growing things, wish me luck because I’m not confident if I have a green thumb (I do have an orange thumb albeit through ups and downs because I grow iron oxidizers in the lab). My son and I visited the garden center yesterday to grab some herbs. We picked parsley. I found some wildflower seeds in my kitchen that I bought since last year, I sowed those in a planter too – fingers crossed.
5. I think I finally solved a precision problem in my calculations. I have been having some lab problems for some weeks now about an assay, praise God for helping me to figure out some of the source of my problem.
6. Its spring break! I won’t be staying off the lab completely but at least, its spring break.
7. It is my mother’s memorial again. Her birthday is also in March. She lingers in my thoughts a lot more in March. I think I dreamt about her. She’s always calm and peaceful in my dreams. Always. I bless Jesus for her life and memories.
Special note: Would you give your life to Jesus Christ? He is the way, the truth and the life. If yes, please pray the prayers below:
Lord Jesus, thank you for your death and resurrection for the salvation of my soul. Please forgive all my sins. I choose you today to follow and to obey. May your love and the holy spirit lead and guide my purpose for your glory. Thank you, my Lord and savior. Amen!
Grace and blessings,
– Olushola
